Death by rice

School project done in 2010. The assignment was to illustrate a disaster. A shipment of Barley and Wheat seeds were shipped to Basra, Iraq from America and Mexico. It was treated with methyl-mercury to prevent rot and was meant to be sent to farmers, but it was stolen out of the port and distributed to the people as food. Huge amounts of people died while others were left blind or brain damaged.
